J. P. Hutson is a lifelong artist who started with finger paints, sketched anything and everything for two decades, and graduated into watercolors, acrylics, oils, spray paint, and sculpture.
Mr. Hutson is a veteran. He studied history and oil painting at the Ohio State University.
Water Is Life, Hutson's current series, is an artistic exploration into life from water. Each piece represents a different aspect of the role of water in the human existence: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I use many different mediums, such as ink, acrylics, and watercolors, but I prefer working with oils. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style while honoring an artistic process that took decades to develop.
I enjoy the movement of life. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by my experiences with our natural world. I love recreating memories while exploring complex thought with my work.
